Personal remote by Power of Attorney: €750
Corporate in Tbilisi: €300 for a standard simple structure
Corporate remote: individually reviewed
Corporate timing and standard scope
The €300 corporate scope is designed for a straightforward company with one shareholder, one director and a clear UBO structure. Corporate onboarding typically takes several days. We attend the bank meeting with the representative and assist with later questions received by email.
Possible third-party costs
Depending on the route, budget for notary, apostille or legalisation, certified translation, courier, travel and the bank’s own account or product charges. We identify likely items before you commit.
What controls the timeline
Document readiness, translations, complexity, bank workload, follow-up questions and enhanced due diligence all affect processing. Remote mandates require extra preparation before the bank review begins.
How to avoid preventable delay
Submit complete readable files, answer questions promptly, keep figures consistent and disclose complexity early. Do not book irreversible travel or transactions around an assumed approval date.

Case-specific scope
Fees pay for the agreed professional work. They do not purchase an account or influence the bank’s independent decision.
What the professional fee covers
The in-person personal scope includes preliminary profile review, personal KYC guidance, a tailored document checklist, appointment coordination and practical onboarding assistance. The corporate scope adds review of the company, representative, shareholders, beneficial owners, business model and expected transactions, plus multi-day follow-up for a clear structure.
The remote personal fee reflects additional coordination: remote feasibility, KYC preparation and the appropriate Power of Attorney process. The precise included deliverables are confirmed in writing before work begins.
Work outside the agreed scope can include unusual legal drafting, repeated execution caused by client changes, extensive translation, complex corporate restructuring, additional bank applications or ongoing account administration. We identify these separately rather than hiding them in a vague “all-inclusive” promise.
Bank account, package, card and transaction fees
The selected licensed bank charges its own fees. These may include a monthly or annual account package, premium relationship, card issuance or delivery, replacement cards, cash withdrawal, transfers, currency conversion and special services. Tariffs vary by bank, package and client status.
Premium banking can offer a dedicated banker, lounge or travel benefits and higher service levels, but package charges are not BankAccount.ge fees. A premium package also does not guarantee onboarding or transaction approval.
Review current official tariffs before activation. International transfers can involve intermediary or correspondent-bank fees in addition to the Georgian bank’s charge. The rate used for currency conversion can matter more than the visible transfer fee for large transactions.
Notary, apostille, translation and courier costs
Remote and foreign-document cases may require notary services, apostille or consular legalisation, certified passport copies, recently issued corporate certificates, Georgian translation and international courier delivery. Each provider charges separately unless a written offer expressly includes the cost.
The number of documents matters. A personal PoA can be simpler than a foreign corporate chain requiring separate certificates and apostilles. Requirements differ by issuing jurisdiction, and an incorrect sequence can force the client to pay twice.
Confirm the route before ordering formalities. We first review scans and instructions, then the applicant completes local execution and authentication. Trackable courier delivery is recommended for originals. Retain complete copies and receipts.
Tbilisi and Batumi travel costs
An in-person applicant should budget for flights or ground transport, accommodation, local transport, meals and flexible time. Tbilisi is our primary location and generally offers the broadest specialist banking access. Batumi cases are coordinated by prior arrangement.
Do not choose travel dates solely because a cheap ticket is available. Check preliminary eligibility and appointment feasibility first. Refundable or flexible arrangements reduce risk if the bank changes timing or asks for additional documents.
Arriving the previous day is often safer than scheduling a bank visit immediately after a flight. Leave a flexible business day where possible, particularly for corporate files or when notary, translation or card arrangements may require another step. BankAccount.ge does not sell travel or accommodation.
Illustrative personal-account budgets
An eligible applicant visiting Tbilisi pays the €200 professional fee plus their own travel and any bank package or card charges. If documents are already acceptable in language and format, there may be little third-party expense. Another applicant may need translation or certified evidence.
A remote personal applicant pays the €750 professional fee plus local notary, apostille or legalisation, translation, courier and bank costs. The total cannot be universal because execution fees vary widely by country.
Illustrations are planning examples, not quotations. We provide the case-specific professional scope after reviewing nationality, residence, source of funds, documents and route. Never assume that spending more on formalities increases approval probability.
Illustrative corporate-account budgets
For a clear Georgian company with one owner and a representative present in Tbilisi, the published professional fee is €300. The client separately pays travel and bank tariffs. If corporate certificates are already Georgian, foreign authentication may be unnecessary.
A foreign-owned chain, several UBOs or remote signatory route can add registry certificates, apostilles, translations, courier and additional professional work. Regulated or complex activity may require legal or licensing advice outside banking assistance.
Obtain a tailored quote before promising launch dates or invoices to customers. Company incorporation, legal address, accounting and tax services are separate from bank account opening unless bundled expressly in a written offer.
Why the remote route costs more
Remote opening replaces travel with document and coordination complexity. The team must confirm feasibility, prepare a fuller remote KYC file, coordinate authority, check scans, manage original delivery and support remote identification and follow-up.
The principal may need to visit a notary and obtain apostille or legalisation locally. These steps are outside our direct control. Courier and translation add time and cost. If the bank later requires personal presence, those expenses do not compel it to continue remotely.
Remote opening is valuable when travel is impractical, not automatically cheaper. Compare the total budget and probability of a suitable route with an in-person Tbilisi appointment before deciding.
The stages that determine the timeline
Initial assessment: profile, purpose, countries and route.
Document preparation: tailored checklist, explanations and corrections.
Formalities: where required, notary, apostille, translation and courier.
Appointment or submission: in person or through an approved remote method.
Compliance review: internal bank decision and follow-up questions.
Activation: digital banking, supported accounts and card arrangements.
A simple personal visit may avoid the formalities stage. A remote corporate chain may require every stage and several rounds of evidence. The bank controls its review and no consultant can guarantee a completion date.
What commonly causes preventable delay
Booking an appointment before the KYC file is ready.
Submitting expired, cropped or inconsistent documents.
Underestimating transaction countries or expected turnover.
Not identifying all beneficial owners and signatories.
Executing an incorrect PoA or apostilling the wrong document.
Slow responses to bank questions or incomplete follow-up.
Changing company ownership, purpose or representative mid-process.
Assuming a bank package or introduction creates priority approval.
Preparation reduces avoidable delay but cannot control internal queues, policy changes or the bank’s final risk decision.
How to build a realistic banking budget
Separate the budget into four columns: BankAccount.ge professional fee, bank tariffs, third-party documents and travel. Add a contingency for translation, additional courier or an extra day in Georgia. Confirm currency and payment terms in the written offer.
For corporate projects, do not treat banking as a guaranteed final step of incorporation. Keep sufficient time and alternative operational planning. For personal property transactions, maintain an existing account until the Georgian account and transfer capability are active.
A transparent budget includes the possibility that the bank declines the application after professional work has been performed. The fee compensates preparation and coordination, not only the outcome.
Currency conversion also affects the real budget. Professional fees may be quoted in euros while bank tariffs are commonly expressed in Georgian lari and foreign providers charge in local currency. Use a sensible exchange-rate allowance and do not calculate a project to the last cent. For corporate accounts, include the cost of maintaining the company, legal address, bookkeeping and tax compliance separately; these are operating obligations rather than bank-opening charges. If several shareholders or directors need documents, multiply certification and courier requirements accordingly. Ask which costs are fixed, estimated or payable directly to a third party before work starts.
What paying for assistance means
BankAccount.ge is an independent business consultancy, not a bank, payment institution or financial adviser. Payment authorises us to perform the agreed assessment, preparation and facilitation. It does not purchase preferential compliance treatment.
The selected bank decides whether to open an account, which products to offer, what limits apply and whether more evidence or personal presence is needed. Third-party providers are responsible for their own notary, translation and courier services.
Read the written scope, supply accurate information and ask questions before payment. We aim to identify obvious infeasibility early, but no preliminary review can bind a bank’s later decision. Keep the invoice, scope confirmation and receipts for third-party services together so the project budget remains auditable and any additional request can be distinguished from the original agreed service.

The cheapest headline option is not always the lowest total cost. A poorly planned visit can require a second trip; an incorrectly authenticated PoA can require new notary work. Select the route after eligibility and document review, then reserve a contingency for additional evidence requested by the bank.
